| There is little left of our European heritage
and history within the shores of that continent. Too
many wars together with the Holocaust and Communism have
destroyed most of the Jewish presence that was once so
strong. Modernisation even in the countries formerly of the
Eastern Bloc has left precious little remaining. Although with the
concentration camps and numerous graveyards there are plenty
places for the visitor to see our footprints, there are few
places left where the timeless presence of 2000 years of
Jewry are still living.
I intend to take a month travelling in Europe to explore
these locations and try and interpret my feelings through
the medium of art.
